It's a fast growing community that still maintains that small town flavor. You still get a smile and a hello when you walk down the street, and it's an easy 25 minute drive from Stockton. Bolivar has a full service hospital, a great school system, and solid community support. Great shopping, including a Wal Mart supercenter. The Polk County seat, Bolivar has just over 9,000 friendly residents. Located about 24 miles north of Springfield on Highway 13 between Lake Stockton and Lake Pomme de Terre, you can reach either lake in 15 minutes or less.

population of 406, and is the
county seat of Hickory County.

Containing hundreds of booths, it attracts Crafters from around the Ozarks to display and sell their crafts. Hermitage is proud of their 1896 courthouse, which is still used today, and the old antebellum home which houses the Historical Society. |
