America in 1996/1997. It's a fast growing community that still maintains that small town flavor. You still get a smile and a hello when you  walk down the street, and it's an easy 25 minute drive from Stockton.

Bolivar has a full service hospital, a great school system, and solid community support. Great shopping, including a Wal Mart supercenter.  The  Polk County seat, Bolivar has just over 9,000 friendly
residents.  Located about
24 miles north of Springfield on Highway 13  between Lake Stockton and Lake Pomme de Terre, you can reach either lake in 15 minutes or less.

Wheatland is only 30 minutes from Bolivar, and less than
one hour from Springfield. It is near Pomme De Terre Lake, which has 113 miles of shoreline and over 7800 surface acres of water
.

Hermitage is a city located in Hickory County, Missouri, along the Pomme de Terre River. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 406, and is the county seat of Hickory County.

Located only a few miles from Pomme De Terre lake, the town square at Hermitage  has been transformed into an old time market place. Containing hundreds of booths, it attracts Crafters from around the Ozarks to display and sell their crafts. Hermitage is proud of their 1896 courthouse, which is still used today, and the old antebellum home which houses the Historical Society.
