Brought to you by:
 Scenic Investments, Inc.

THE HOLIDAYS ARE COMING TO STOCKTON!

living Christmas

If you've never been to Stockton, what a
perfect time to visit! If you already know
about our  "little piece of Heaven", what a perfect time to come back! Come see what Stockton holidays offer - it's a special kind of holiday excitement!

This year will be the third "Living Christmas in Stockton", and believe me, you don't want to miss it. Come on, take a step back in time!  Enjoy the old time celebration and wonderful friendship and camaraderie of days past.

You'll see folks bustling around in Victorian period dress, and you'll get a warm feeling listening to the carolers on the old town square.

Watch kids crowd around the huge Christmas tree in the park waiting for gifts from Santa. Take a tram ride around town and visit the local merchants welcoming you to their Christmas Open House. If you haven't been to a Stockton Living Christmas, make this the year to experience it!  If you've experienced it before, no doubt you'll be here for this one.  Come On Back!

HOLIDAY RECIPE

Special Sweet Potato Casserole
 (perfect with your Christmas Ham)

When we were kids, we never had sweet potatoes.
When I grew up, I discovered I like them a lot,
so now I have them every Christmas.
Here's a favorite recipe, "good nuff for comp'ny".
This recipe can be prepared the day before and
refrigerated for baking on Christmas Day.
(If you do refrigerate it, bake an additional  5-10 minutes.)

Ingredients:       2 large sweet potatoes ( 2 lbs.)       3 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup melted butter        2/3 cup evaporated milk or cream

Topping:        3/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans      1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup flour    2 tablespoons melted butter

Directions: Peel and cut up the sweet potatoes. Boil for about 25 minutes, until tender.
Drain well and mash. Stir in eggs, butter and evaporated milk.
Spoon into a 2 litre baking dish. Combine the topping ingredients,
and sprinkle evenly over the sweet potatoes. Bake at 350 degrees F.
for 40 minutes, until center is set.  Mmmm!
